Assignment 5

Assignment 5 is taken directly from "Design Sketching" by Erik Olofsson and Klara Sjolen.

Since we decided to switch things around in Shooks class, we never got to try this one out but I've been kind of looking forward to doing this one, plus we'll get to touch up on both our sketching and photoshop skills.

Assignment 4

This is Sketch-A-Day. Yes, he actually looks like this in real life. His body is made of ink and he is a robot. It is for that reason that he is a great sketcher and it is for that reason that I plan on stealing him for my own purposes this week.

Jumping right into it, this week's assignment is to emulate the works and styling of Sketch-A-Day.

Take note of:

-Array of sketching ability

-Use of Marker

-Page Compositions

-Suggestive Details Used

Sketch-A-Day offers an archival of raw but effective sketches. This week's assignment, copy 5 pages of colored Sketch-A-Day's works. Specifically choose images that have been hit with marker in order to understand both use of color and suggestive rendering style.

Theme: Emulate Sketch-A-Day

Objective: Redraw 5 pages of pages of your choice that have been touched with color

Assignment 3

Theme:

- STOP THE BULLET -

The soldier has been shot once in the chest. Luckily, the steel flask stored in his left shirt pocket has stopped the bullet. He will not survive the next shot. Through a twist of fate, you've been given a chance to intervene. Think of thirty quick concepts to stop the next bullet. Anything from a steel wall, to a robotic bullet catching arm to the Master Chief himself coming down to stop the final bullet.
